Vacancies include: Vice President (2011-13); Nominating Committee Member (2011-14); Program Committee Chair (2011-13); Program Committee Member (2011-14); Travel Grant Committee Chair (2011-13); Travel Grant Committee Member (2011-14).  Information on duties and responsibilities are included in the IAS’s By-Laws (note that the legal title for Program Committee Chair is Vice-President for Program Coordination).  Please feel free to write to the current officer or committee chair for further information on responsibilities, practicalities, and time commitments; contact information may be found in the left-hand pane of this page.

The IAS is also seeking a chair and four members for a new Graduate Student Committee, pending approval at the IAS’s annual business meeting at CAA.  More information on this committee will be available by September 2010.

Nominating Process

Any member of the IAS in good standing may be nominated to any of the vacancies notes above.  Nominations may be self-nominations or may come from other individuals.  All nominees must submit a cover letter, indicating the position to which they are being nominated and a statement of interest in that position, and a current C.V.  Nominees who are interested in more than one position should indicate their order of preference.

Please direct all inquiries and nominations via e-mail to C.D. Dickerson, Nominating Committee Chair. The deadline for nominations is October 15, 2010.

Elections

Officers and committees will be elected at the IAS’s annual business meeting, to be held at the College Art Association’s annual meeting in New York City, February 2011. Details on the date and time of the meeting will be available in Fall 2010.
