Any member of the IAS in good standing may be nominated or self-nominated to any of the vacancies noted above; membership in the Graduate Student and Emerging Scholars Committee is limited to current graduate students and those who have recently received a graduate degree. Each nominee must submit a cover letter indicating the position to which s/he is being nominated and a statement of interest in that position as well as a current CV. A nominee who is interested in more than one position should indicate order of preference. The annual deadline for nominations is November 1. Please note that the 2012 deadline has been extended to November 7.
Please direct all inquiries and nominations via e-mail to the Nominating Committee Chair.
2013 marked the first year that the IAS conducted an on-line vote for its new slate of officers and committee members. All members in good standing will receive an online ballot in early January 2014. Should you have any problems, please send a query to the IAS President. The final slate will be announced at the IAS business meeting at CAA and will be posted on our website. New positions are effective after the close of the CAA business meeting.
